"I'm not trying to steal you. You're already mine!!!" (BBSCOOT Saga 4/4)

Yeah, so this brings us to my current problem. Apparently, the first owner of my car (I am the third) put a 90's anti-theft system in my car. I have no clue how it is supposed to be triggered if the car is actually stolen but it's wire directly to the starter. Either a rat got to the wire or it was always like that but there's shrink wrap holding one of the wires together. One day, I was driving Josh and myself home. I got in my car and attempted to start it. The starter wouldn't turn over. "Shit, not again."I went straight to the troubleshoot LED, nothing. While Josh went inside to get some tools, I fiddled around with the battery: unplugged it, plugged it back in, tried to start it, nothing. I remembered the anti-theft and wondered what would happen if I unplugged it and plugged it back in (give it a reboot). It started!! I felt so accomplished. My one skill: Rebooting a 90's Anti-Theft system. It kept happening and I kept rebooting it. Until one HOT August day.

Remember what I said about the shrink wrap on one of the cables. It got hot and would shrink, causing disconnection in the wires. I'm 90% sure that the cable that is wrapped is the one that goes directly to the starter which makes sense as to why it wouldn't allow the car to start. So now, when my car doesn't feel like starting, I just have to reach down to the dangling anti-theft box and mess with the shrink wrap. Thankfully, it's getting cooler so maybe I'll be able to get everything back into the dash as opposed to having a mess of wires at my left foot.

So now that everything is basically figured out with my thousands of car problems, I bet you're wondering "What's next, Abby?". So after going to an annual car show in Maryland (Check out the pictures I took on my photography page), I thought about it and decided to turn my car into a themed show car. But what is the theme, baby? Glad you asked: Old School Looney Tunes. It already has this as a current little theme meaning I have looney tunes themed accessories. But I'm gonna spice it up a little more. I've got a bunch of plans, I'm not quite sure how many are feasible but I'm excited. I have a year.
