So things got stressful mid-July and I just couldn't find the time or energy to write about my car. Thankfully, he survived the fuel system transplant! The downside was that this wasn't the last problem I had to diagnose. This post will be broken up into 3 different sections explaining what went down and where I'm at now with Bbscoot.
Surgical Complications
If I remember correctly, my car was at the gas station for about a week and a half, maybe two weeks, due to a massive build-up rust and corrosion in the main fuel line between the tank and the fuel pump. Not a biggie right? Just slap a new one on and problem fixed. Except it wasn't that simple. None of the big auto part stores around me sell a Fuel Line that fits a 91 Honda Civic apparently. I spent two days searching the deepest parts of the web for ANYONE who either had a spare one or could make one for cheap. And found nothing. I even contemplated spending $300 on a dead Civic and just gut it for parts.
Finally, when all hope was almost lost, Kam, the Service Manager at the gas station said he could try to make one free of charge. He slapped it in and let the car run for about 2 hours and NO SPUTTER OR STALLING!! I picked my car up on my lunch break and was on my way. That is till the next problem...
