"it's because it's MY car. It has to have MY problems" (BBSCOOT Saga 3/4)

At this point, the new fuel system had been in my car for about two weeks I think, and I had driven it

maybe four times. Looking back on this story, it's probably the funniest thing to happen and it would only happen to ME. So I was driving into Crystal city to pick up my boss's lunch and I got lost and couldn't find street parking. I turned into a parking garage with the hope of either stop and figure out my life or asking for directions. As I stopped on the hill in front of the gate, the car just shook aggressively and stalled as if I didn't have my foot on the clutch, accept it is an automatic. Then the ignition wouldn't turn back over. I couldn't even roll down the hill to get out of the ay because there was a gate in front of me. The attendant came over as I was on the phone with my Dad and my boss. He lifted the gate and helped me roll down the hill and into a space. With no idea what could possibly be happening with my car, we connected his car's battery to mine and just charged the battery. My boss sent Josh my boyfriend and a tech at the dealership I work at, to come get me and his food. (I don't think he actually wanted Josh to pick me up. I think he just wanted his Jimmy John's.) Of course, as soon as Josh was getting to me, my car started back up.

On my way back home that night, it happened again. I ended up just having to coast down the hill in neutral and did a rolling start at the bottom. So at this point, I had figured out that it was only doing it when I was on a decline. I called Josh and asked him what he thought it was. He said it could be the fact that my fuel pump is positioned at the back of the tank so when the car is tipped forward and has a low tank, the pump is being starved. My first thought was "dude that's such a dumb theory" but I decided to test it. I went to the gas station by my parent's house, filled my tank, and did some stops on inclines. Sure enough, he was right! I don't know if it's a permanent thing or if it's just because it's a new fuel pump, but apparently, if I have less than 3/4 of a tank, my car will just decide it doesn't want to work.
